Reece James hailed Liverpool transfer target, Jude Bellingham, as ‘My GOAT’ after he captained Borussia Dortmund for the first time on Friday, as the Chelsea defender posted on his England teammate’s Instagram.
At 19, Jude Bellingham became the youngest-ever player to captain Dortmund, and whilst it was a moment to remember in that sense for the midfielder, his team ended up suffering a 3-2 defeat away at FC Koln.
After the game, Bellingham expressed how ‘annoyed’ he was at the result, but made it clear that it was a ‘special honour’ to don the armband.
In the comments section of the player’s IG post, West Ham midfielder Declan Rice and Liverpool skipper, Jordan Henderson, applauded the player.
Whilst Chelsea’s Reece James just simply wrote ‘My GOAT’.
BELLINGHAM IS LIVERPOOL’S TOP TARGET
Things aren’t going well for Liverpool in the Premier League as they dropped more points following their 3-3 draw against Brighton at Anfield on Saturday.
There are clear issues from defence to midfield that Jurgen Klopp just can’t seem to fix, at this moment in time.
Many felt during the 2022 summer transfer window that Liverpool should have pushed harder in the market, including signing someone like Bellingham.

Well, the rising English star is a ‘top target’ for the Reds next summer, but at this rate, they have to make sure they are still playing Champions League football in order to have that lure to beat others to his signature
At the rate Bellingham is going at, there will be plenty of teams across Europe willing to pay stupid money for his talents, including possibly breaking the transfer record for a British player, which is Jack Grealish at £100 million.
