West Ham United travel to Wembley to take on Tottenham Hotspur tonight.
Hammers boss David Moyes spoke to reporters ahead of his side’s clash with Spurs at Wembley tonight, and admitted that he is hoping that Aaron Creswell’s injury does not prevent him from facing Mauricio Pochettino’s side, as quoted by WHUFC.com.
The 28-year-old began the season slowly, and received some criticism from the West Ham fans, but he has been magnificent for the past month or so, after Moyes began utilising him as a left-sided centre-back as part of a three man defence.
He has proven to be vitally important to his side’s recent resurgence under Moyes, and despite his new-found position, he has still managed to have an influence on the Hammers’ play in the final third.

His superb cross set up Andy Carroll’s equaliser against West Brom on Tuesday night, and that kind of service will be sorely missed by the big Geordie, if he is of course ruled out tonight.
Moyes spoke to reporters and expressed his fear that Cresswell might in fact miss out against Spurs, as quoted by WHUFC.COM:
“I’m hoping Cresswell’s injury doesn’t keep him out because we’re pretty short in both full-back areas. Until we have got both Sam Byram and Jose Fonte back we’re a bit short defensively.”
Whichever team Moyes puts out at Wembley will have to be 100 per cent committed to the task in hand, but with Cresswell in the line-up, Hammers fans will be far more confident of victory than they would without him.
