Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal and Antonio Conte’s Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with Paulo Dybala, but it seems that the Gunners and Spurs are facing serious competition from AS Roma head coach Jose Mourinho.

Earlier this month, FCInterNews reported that Arsenal and Manchester United have been in touch with the representatives of Dybala, who is a free agent at the moment following his departure from Juventus at the end of last season.

Tuttomercatoweb reported on June 21 that Tottenham are monitoring the situation of the Argentina international, who can operate as a forward or as an attacking midfielder.

Jose Mourinho wants Arsenal and Tottenham target Paulo Dybala

Former Italian champions Inter Milan are reportedly in pole position for the Argentine star, but now it seems that Roma are very keen on securing the services of Dybala on a free transfer.

CMW have reported that AS Roma head coach Jose Mourinho is absolutely determined to sign the Argentine on a free transfer.

The former Tottenham head coach has reportedly made Dybala – described as “a world-class player” by Brazil and Real Madrid legend Roberto Carlos on DAZN in April 2022 – a priority target.

Where next?

AS Roma won the Conference League last season and will aim to finish in the top four of the Serie A table in 2022-23.

Paulo Dybala has played in Italy since 2012 and is settled in the country.

A move to Roma, working with a world-class manager such as Mourinho and being part of an ambitious project could be tempting for the 28-year-old.
