It was reported today that Alfredo Morelos was still desperate to quit Rangers.

Despite the Gers qualifying for the Champions League last night, The Record report that the Colombia international remains keen to leave Ibrox.

Morelos was left out of the Rangers squad last night by Giovanni van Bronckhorst over attitude reasons.

However, the South American hitman might just be committed to the light Blues after all.

Here is a tweet that Morelos sent out a little past 2.30 pm.

With speculation rife about a transfer to Sevilla, the 26-year-old could well be leaving Rangers this summer, particularly in light of his omission by the Dutch manager last night.

However, this message on social media does not appear to be from a player desperate to quit the Scottish outfit, it has to be said.

Everyone knows that Morelos’s five-year spell in Scotland has been dominated by controversy for quite a number of reasons.

However, the former Helsinki hitman invariably finds a way to get the Rangers supporters back on side, having wound up staying in Glasgow despite the speculation.

And based on his message on Twitter, well would you back against the same thing happening again?

The fiery Colombian has scored an excellent 114 goals in 228 games [The Times] since joining under Pedro Caixinha back in 2017.

He is one of Rangers’ longest-serving players and, based on the above statistic, one of their most important, too.

If he winds up staying for another year, it may not be such a horrible thing.
