Alfredo Morelos is still pushing to leave Rangers despite the Scottish giants last night qualifying for the UEFA Champions League group stages, with Sevilla interested in signing the striker.
According to the Daily Record, the La Liga side, who could meet Rangers in Europe should the two be drawn together, are interested in signing Morelos, who was left out of the squad that faced PSV Eindhoven this week in the Netherlands due to concerns about his attitude and fitness.
As a result, Morelos is now pushing for an exit from Rangers by next week’s deadline, with Sevilla leading the charge to sign the Colombian international as Giovanni van Bronckhorst could sanction a quick sale for the Gers’ once talismanic striker.
One of the best forwards in Scotland in the past few years and an influential player in Rangers 2021 Scottish Premiership title win and their run to the UEFA Europa League final last season, Morelos’ time in Glasgow is seemingly coming to a disappointing end.
Whilst the striker has continuously been linked with a move away from Rangers, it feels like this summer will finally see Morelos pack his bags and depart Scotland for good, with Sevilla seemingly the favourites to sign the 26-year-old South American maverick.
Indeed, a change of scenery will do Morelos good, and a move to a top club like Sevilla is exactly what the player needs at this stage of his career, with the La Liga side also potentially capable of paying Rangers a good fee for a star who has given the Scottish side many good memories over the years.
Rangers and Sevilla must work together to pull off Morelos signing

Being left out of the Champions League squad that this week created history will have stung for Morelos, but with Rangers seemingly easing their stance on selling the striker, the SPL giants could now work with Sevilla to ensure the Colombian striker signs for the Spanish titans in the coming days.
After all, time is running out for Rangers to find a solution for Morelos, and with Sevilla still interested in the South American, there’s a good chance a deal can be struck between the two clubs before the closure of the window that will see the attacker end his time in Scotland and begin a new chapter in his career in Andalusia.
