PSV will now visit Rangers at Ibrox on August 16, before a reverse tie at the Philips Stadion on August 24, for a place in the group stage. And Gakpo admits, via Sky Sports, that he will likely remain in Eindhoven for at least another season if premier UEFA action is on its way.

Gakpo has been subject to intense interest from Premier League squads this summer, with Manchester United now joining Arsenal. The Mirror report Erik ten Hag has added the 23-year-old to his shortlist. While ESPN add the seven-cap star wants a move to Old Trafford.
Arsenal and Leeds United were already in the mix for the Eindhoven native, per the Mirror. Both clubs were also aware that PSV value their academy product at £40m, but neither has made an offer. Nottingham Forest have, though, with Foot Mercato citing a bid last week.

Cody Gakpo invites talks over Philips Stadion future with PSV Eindhoven
Gakpo has now invited the PSV Eindhoven executive team to begin talks over his future at the Philips Stadion. He is also adamant that at no point has the forward expressed a desire to leave his boyhood club, despite interest from Arsenal and Manchester United this year.
“We must first focus on and try to make it to the Champions League. Then it is more likely that I will stay,” Gakpo said. “I don’t think I have said anywhere that I am leaving.
“So, there is definitely a chance that I will stay. I’m open for a cup of coffee with the management – or coffee for them and water for me. We’ll see how it goes.”
Arsenal, Leeds, Manchester United and newly-promoted Nottingham Forest are interested in signing Gakpo after his stunning season with PSV last term. The Dutch dynamo struck 21 goals and assisted another 15 over 46 appearances across all competitions during 2021/22.
And Gakpo has already started the 2022/23 season in on the action, hitting three goals and two assists from four appearances. He registered his first goal for the term so far and both assists during the Johan Cruyff Shield as PSV ran out 5-3 winners over Ajax in Amsterdam.
