There could be more bad news on the way for Arsenal.

Tonight, the Gunners surrendered their 100 percent record in the Europa League by losing 2-0 away to PSV Eindhoven.

It was only Arsenal’s second defeat from all competitions this season and their worst performance of the campaign by some distance.

But there could be more negatives in the pipeline.

According to a journalist from The Telegraph, Arsenal defender Gabriel Magalhaes, who replaced Kieran Tierney on 74 minutes, was seen limping down the tunnel after the game and seemed ‘in pain’.

Sam Dean tweeted:

Gabriel, a £27 million signing in 2020 [Sky Sports], has been an ever-present figure in the North Londoners’ defence since arriving from Lille two years ago.

But this season, he has struck up an excellent centre-back partnership with William Saliba at the heart of Mikel Arteta’s defence.

Fortunately, the Spanish manager has cover in the form of Ben White, who has spent most of the campaign at right-back but with Takehiro Tomiyasu fit again, the former Brighton defender could potentially partner Saliba going forward.

Of course, that’s if the big Arsenal defender is confirmed to have an injury.

So far, it’s just a tweet from a journalist and hopefully Arteta can offer good news during his post-match interviews tonight.
