Pichi Alonso has written in Sport that Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool could sell Mohamed Salah amid interest from Barcelona.
The former Barcelona and Spain international striker has said that Liverpool are “a selling club”, pointing out that the former Premier League and European champions cashed in on Philippe Coutinho.
Liverpool sold the Brazil international attacking midfielder to Barcelona in January 2018 for £142 million (The Guardian).
Coutinho, who can also play as a winger, is now on loan at Aston Villa.
Sport have reported that Barcelona are interested in signing Salah in the summer transfer window.
And, according to the Spanish publication, the 29-year-old Egypt international forward – who cost Liverpool £34 million in transfer fees in the summer of 2017 (BBC Sport), is open to a move to Camp Nou.
Alonso, who now works as a football analyst, wrote in Sport: “Salah also has one more year on his contract with Liverpool and everything will depend on the value for money.
“The Reds are a selling club, as was revealed with Coutinho. They transferred the Brazilian and improved his team.”

Could Liverpool sell Mohamed Salah to Barcelona?
In our opinion, unless Barcelona offer Liverpool a huge amount of money, like they did for Coutinho, the Reds will not sell Salah.
The Reds are in a strong financial situation, and they do not have to sell any of their key assests.
Salah is one of the best players in the world and is at the top of his game at the moment.
