Darren Bent has said on talkSPORT (4:13pm, March 25, 2022) that Newcastle United fans would love Gareth Bale at St. James’ Park.
The former Tottenham Hotspur and Sunderland striker believes that Real Madrid winger Bale would be a superstar signing for Newcastle.
The 32-year-old former Tottenham winger is out of contract at Spanish and European giants Madrid at the end of the season.
Bale scored two goals for Wales in their 2022 World Cup qualifying playoff tie against Austria on Thursday evening.
The first goal from the Madrid winger was a brilliant dipping free kick.
Bent said about Bale on talkSPORT (4:13pm, March 25, 2022): “He is incredible, Gareth Bale, we have seen it time and time again.”
The talkSPORT pundit added about Bale potentially moving to Newcastle: “That’s a superstar signing they are looking for. I think they (Newcastle fans) would be happy with it.”

Could Gareth Bale to Newcastle United happen?
In our opinion, Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF) signing Bale for Newcastle on a short-term deal would make sense.
Bale will become a free agent in a few months’ time and will not cost any transfer fee.
The winger is a serial winner at club level, having won La Liga twice and the Champions League on four occasions with Madrid.
If Wales qualify for the 2022 World Cup finals in Qatar, then Bale would want to play regularly at club level and stay fit.
We saw last night what Bale can do when he plays at his best.
We think that the winger would be a good signing for Newcastle on a short-term contract.
