England are just two matches away from winning their first World Cup since 1966.

After beating Erling Haaland’s Norway in the previous round, the Three Lions are due to take on Argentina in the semi-final on July 15.

The winner of that tie is set to meet Spain at the World Cup final on July 19 at the New York New Jersey Stadium.

Now, Pete Crow-Armstrong has shown his support for Thomas Tuchel’s side while being interviewed mid-game.

Pete Crow-Armstrong is a soccer fan and backs England to win the World Cup

MLB Europe shared a video on social media of Crow-Armstrong talking about the World Cup, in which he mentioned Jude Bellingham and Harry Kane, England’s two top scorers at this summer’s tournament in North America.

The Chicago Cubs centre fielder went on to reveal that he was a fan of Premier League side Chelsea growing up before backing England to win the World Cup.

He stated: “I got to see England do it. I love what Jude Bellingham’s doing; Harry Kane’s still leading that squad.”

Asked if he played any football growing up, he responded: “No, I was more of a soccer and basketball guy.

“My best friend growing up, his family is from London, and I grew up a huge Chelsea fan because of them. So, naturally I kind of root for England. But I think England can do it. They’re big and physical, man.”

However, at present, Opta’s supercomputer does not make England the favourites to win the World Cup.

Ahead of the semi-final against Argentina, the Three Lions are given a 23.32% chance of lifting the trophy compared to 21.09% for their opponents.

Spain, on the other hand, are given a 55.59% chance of winning the tournament on Sunday.
