Mino Raiola has ‘promised’ Inter Milan he can attract late bids for Stefan de Vrij before the January window closes, amid reported transfer interest from Antonio Conte’s Tottenham.
That’s according to Calciomercato, who report the Nerazzurri are now waiting for a chance to sell the Dutch defender. San Siro chiefs hope an opportunity arises before next Monday to offload De Vrij in order to fund Simone Inzaghi’s pursuit of Torino star Gleison Bremer.
Inter Milan believe Bremer is the next piece of the puzzle they need to defend their Serie A title. But Il Toro will only sanction his exit for €25m (£21m) with less than 48-hours left of the window. The Nerazzurri can also only afford the fee if they agree at least one late sale.

So, the Serie A side have put De Vrij on the market as his contract will expire in 2023. Inter have spoken with the 29-year-old over a potential extension, but a new deal is currently far from realisation. Raiola is aware of the situation, so is now looking for a possible new side.
The super-agent has also ‘promised’ Inter Milan he can attract bids in the region of €20m-25m (£16.5-21m) for De Vrij. The 55-cap international is still an important presence at the San Siro under Inzaghi. He has made 17 league appearances this term outside of injuries.
Tottenham land late De Vrij boost with Inter Milan transfer plans
Inter Milan and Raiola’s plan to secure De Vrij’s transfer will delight former Nerazzurri and current Tottenham boss Conte. The Guardian report the centre-half still features on the Italian’s short list of targets. But Spurs Chairman Daniel Levy is reluctant, given his age.

De Vrij turns 30 on February 5, which does not fit with Levy’s set criteria for a Tottenham transfer. Conte could push the Spurs chief to hold talks with Raiola and Inter, though, given the north Londoners’ lack of success with his alternative targets throughout the window.
