Granit Xhaka and Rob Holding were seemingly in disagreement as to who could the better of each other in pre-season training.
Arsenal’s combative midfielder posted on Instagram ‘presenting today’s training winners’, as he is pictured alongside a number of his teammates.
The players included Xhaka himself, Hector Bellerin, Ben White, Cedric Soares, Arthur Okonkwo and Nicolas Pepe.
But in the comments section of Xhaka’s IG post, Holding reacted and stated that in actual fact it was his team who won the battle.
He told Xhaka: “Miles off it. You finished on 5 points bro. We had 7. So you do the maths.”
Holding suggested that Willian, Mohamed Elneny, Alex Runarsson, Sead Kolasinac, Emile Smith Rowe, Nuno Tavares and Joe Willock were the winners.

Well, the competitive nature out on Arsenal’s training pitch is pretty strong ahead of the new season.
Xhaka wasn’t supposed to be in an Arsenal shirt because there were strong reports suggesting that he was going to join Roma.
But in what has been a surprising u-turn involving the £30 million players (Sky Sports), he is now close to signing a new deal, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The first ten games are do or die for Mikel Arteta because he simply cannot survive if things go wrong from the off.
