According to Calciomercato.com, Granit Xhaka could cut short his holidays to leave Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal for Jose Mourinho’s AS Roma.
What’s the story?
Xhaka wants to leave Arsenal and join Roma and is looking forward to working with former Tottenham Hotspur head coach Mourinho.
The Switzerland international midfielder already has an agreement with Roma over his salary and length of contract.
The 28-year-old is on vacation at the moment after his participation at Euro 2020 with Switzerland.
However, Xhaka could cut short his holidays to seal his exit and begin working with Roma.
As for Roma, the Italian club have made an offer of €15 million (£12.82m) plus €2.5 million (£2.14m) of easy bonuses.
Arsenal want €20 million (£17.10m) as transfer fee for Xhaka.

Granit Xhaka’s Arsenal exit inevitable?
It seems that it is only a matter of time before Xhaka leaves Arsenal for Roma.
The former Borussia Monchengladbach star wants to join Roma, and it appears that only a few million pounds will seal the deal for the Italian club.

Xhaka has been at Arsenal since 2016 and has been a consistent figure in the team.
The 28-year-old scored one goal and gave two assists in 29 Premier League starts for the Gunners last season.
The midfielder also played 10 times in the Europa League for the North London club in 2020-21.
