Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has admitted loving that Arsenal fans were chanting for goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale against Chelsea.
Mikel Arteta had no problems with Arsenal fans chanting the name of substitute goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale on Saturday evening.
Arteta took his side to Stamford Bridge but was staring down the barrel of a defeat after goals from Cole Palmer and Mykhailo Mudryk.
Declan Rice gave Arsenal hope before Leandro Trossard sparked absolutely wild scenes with a late equaliser.
Arsenal dragged themselves back from the brink but Arteta may face a difficult call over his goalkeeping situation…

It’s fair to say that David Raya didn’t have his best day.
The Arsenal stopper was caught off his line for Mudryk’s goal before almost gifting Palmer another at 2-0.
Raya looked unsure against Manchester City and didn’t exactly ease his doubters against Chelsea.
Arsenal fans started chanting for Ramsdale at one point, seemingly believing that he should be in goal rather than Raya.
Arteta was asked about those chants after the final whistle and gave a pretty typical Arteta answer.
Speaking to Football London, Arteta suggested that the chants were ‘great’ and he will join in signing for him every day.
Arteta added that Ramsdale is ‘very loved’ at Arsenal, praising his charisma and personality around the Gunners squad.
“Great. I love him and I will sing as well for him every day. He’s someone that has this charisma and personality and he’s very loved by the team,” said Arteta.

Arteta may face a difficult decision
Arteta made a big call in September, dropping Ramsdale in favour of summer signing Raya.
That decision had real similarities to the dropping of Bernd Leno in 2021 – something the German noticed himself.
The Arsenal boss talked up the idea of rotating goalkeepers and even substituting his shot-stopper if needed.
Well, Raya has managed to complete 90 minutes in his last two games despite struggling, so maybe that isn’t the case.
Either way, Raya cannot keep struggling in this manner – both in terms of shot-stopping and his passing out from the back.
Ramsdale did little wrong before being dropped and the chants for the England International will only grow louder if Raya continues in this form.
