Arteta wants Tottenham target Paqueta at Arsenal
The French news outlet has claimed that Arsenal are leading the race for Lyon midfielder Paqueta, and that Arteta is pushing for the signing of the Lyon midfielder in the summer transfer window.
We have covered claims from Brazilian media that Arsenal Technical Director Edu is working on a deal , and it seems that he he has the full approval of Arteta.
Paqueta is a player in demands with Arsenal’s bitter North London rivals Tottenham Hotspur reportedly keen on the 24-year-old Brazil international midfielder, who earns £49,000 per week as salary (SalarySport).
Earlier this month, ESPN Brasil reported that Arsenal, Tottenham and Manchester City have held talks to sign Paqueta ‘in recent weeks’.

Big coup
In our view, if Arsenal are able to sign Lucas Paqueta ahead of Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City in the summer transfer window, then it would be a big coup for the Gunners.
The Brazilian is a very good midfielder who has extremely well for Lyon in Ligue 1.
Paqueta is ready to move to a bigger club, and Arsenal would be a good destination.
That Tottenham and Manchester City are also interested in the 24-year-old outlines how good he is and how highly he is rated in the footballing community.
Last season, Paqueta scored nine goals and gave six assists in 32 Ligue 1 starts, and scored two goals and provided one assist in five Europa League starts for Lyon.
