Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has told Sky Sports that Joe Willock has the chance to succeed at the Gunners.
Willock is on loan at Newcastle United at the moment, having moved to Steve Bruce’s side in the January transfer window.
According to WhoScored, the English youngster has made seven starts and three substitute appearances in the Premier League for the Magpies this season, scoring four goals in the process.
The midfielder is scheduled to return to his parent club this summer, and Arsenal manager Arteta has said that the 21-year-old has a chance to make it big at the Emirates Stadium.
Arteta told Sky Sports about Willock: “It was a difficult decision to let him go but he needed more game-time. He has a chance [here].”
Encouraging for Joe Willock
Newcastle manager Steve Bruce reportedly wants the club to keep Willock on loan at the club next season.
The English midfielder is doing well at St. James’ Park, and one can understand why Bruce reportedly wants him in his team next season as well.

However, if Willock has the chance to make it big at Arsenal and Arteta wants him in his squad next season and beyond, then the youngster should give it a go.
Of course, it is going to be hard for the 21-year-old to play week in and week out for the Gunners next season, but it is a chance that he has got to take.
The likes of Bukayo Saka and Emile Smith Rowe have shown that youngsters are being given chances at Arsenal if they are good enough.
