Reported Liverpool and Arsenal target Patson Daka may be on his way out of Red Bull Salzburg this summer, teammate Chukwubuike Adamu told Sky Austria.
Has Adamu let the cat out of the bag?
Well, not quite.
Salzburg sell a star player or two almost every year and, after losing Erling Haaland, Hwang Hee-Chan, Takumi Minamino and Dominik Szoboszlai over the last 14 months or so, it is no secret that Daka will be in the next cab off the rank.
Salzburger Nachrichten reported in March that Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal, Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City and Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool are all interested, the latter eyeing the red-hot striker despite Minamino’s Anfield struggles.
And after Daka’s agent indicated earlier this week that a summer departure is all-but inevitable, Adamu’s comments serve to pour yet more fuel on the fire.
“The plan is to move to Salzburg in the summer and get a place there,” said Adamu, who is currently on loan at St Gallen.

“Apparently Daka might go somewhere else and then I’ll get a place where I can prove myself.”
Zambia international Daka, who has been labelled ‘the next Thierry Henry’, has produced 30 goals in 33 games this season – a tally the one-time Arsenal captain would be proud to call his own.
Football London also reported in September that Jose Mourinho’s Tottenham are keen on the £25 million-rated hotshot.
