Konrad Laimer may have turned down a move to Graham Potter’s Chelsea, but the Bayern Munich-bound midfielder did show some interest in a switch to Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool, according to TEAMtalk.
Chelsea target Konrad Laimer showed interest in Liverpool
TEAMtalk have reported that Liverpool want to sign Laimer and have made it clear to the RB Leipzig midfielder that they are interested in him.
According to the report, ‘Liverpool’s interest was very much of interest to the player but he always had a move to Bayern in his heart’.
Although the Austria international showed interest in Liverpool, he has decided to move to defending German champions Bayern in the summer of 2023 on a free transfer when his current contract at Leipzig runs out.
Interestingly, Liverpool are not the only Premier League club who have been left disappointed in their pursuit of Leipzig.

Chelsea have tried and failed too to convince the Austrian ace.
Bild reported last month that Chelsea made contact to try to sign Laimer, but it went no further because he wants to join Bayern Munich.
We covered the report here on HITC Sport.
Bayern are one of the biggest clubs in the world who regularly win the Bundesliga and compete for the UEFA Champions League.
We are not at all surprised that Laimer has decided to move to Bayern.
