Michael Owen has taken to Twitter to give his reaction to David Moyes’s West Ham United having a late goal ruled out against Thomas Tuchel’s Chelsea away from home at Stamford Bridge in London in the Premier League this afternoon.
Late in the London derby today, West Ham’s Maxwel Cornet scored against Chelsea.
Chelsea goalkeeper Edouard Mendy stopped Jarrod Bowen inside the box.
Cornet took a touch and hammered the ball home.
Mendy seemed hurt, and the referee was told by VAR to go to the monitor to review the goal.
The goal was ruled out.
Chelsea were 2-1 up at that stage, and Thomas Tuchel’s side went on to win it by that margin.
Former Tottenham Hotspur player Jamie O’Hara and ex-Liverpool and Manchester United striker Michael Owen were not impressed, as you can see from their tweets below.

Michael Owen on Chelsea v West Ham United VAR controversy
West Ham United will be very disappointed at the decision, while Chelsea will be relieved.
The Blues had to come from a goal down to win the London derby against the Hammers.
West Ham played well, and the travelling fans will feel that they should have had picked up at least a point from the encounter.
