Michael Owen has claimed that Liverpool transfer target, Jude Bellingham, has ‘everything’ to his game.

The former striker added that the Borussia Dortmund superstar is also an ‘exciting player’ for the future.

Over the weekend, Bellingham, who is attracting interest from the likes of Liverpool, started for England during their UEFA Nations League defeat to Hungary.

At the age of 18, the all-action midfielder is being handed such an important role for his country and he might be handed an even bigger one if he starts against Germany on Tuesday.

Nonetheless, when speaking about Bellingham’s talents, Owen was full of praise for one of football’s rising stars, as he told Channel 4.

“I think this lad is a little bit more adventurous than Rice and Phillips,” said Owen.

“He’s a better passer. He can probably score a few more goals. I mean talk about exciting players. As you say, only 18.

“He’s got the physique. He’s got the ability. He has absolutely everything. We could be looking at a mainstay for many, many years.

“But not just a mainstay, but one of the best out there if he continues to develop.”

BELLINGHAM WOULD BE A DREAM SIGNING FOR LIVERPOOL

Jurgen Klopp needs to refresh his squad in a few areas, including in the middle of the park.

Jordan Henderson, Fabinho and Thiago are his sure starters in the midfield when everyone is fit.

But no-one is really banging down the door to take their places, plus both Henderson and Thiago are 31.

So, bringing in someone like Bellingham, whether it’s next summer or a few years down the line, would solve a lot of long-term problems for the club.

Whatever step Bellingham decides to take next, he is going to ease a lot of pressure for the next ten years on that club given that he still has so many years to develop.
