Ally McCoist has said on talkSPORT (7:47am, April 19, 2021) that he would be against Steven Gerrard’s Rangers and Celtic joining the European Super League.
The former Rangers manager has said that he is against the European Super League, and that he would not want Rangers and Celtic to be part of it.
The European Super League was formed last night, with Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester United, Chelsea, Manchester City and Liverpool among the Founding Clubs.
McCoist said on talkSPORT (7:47am, April 19, 2021) when asked about Rangers and Celtic joining the Super League: “I would be so against it. I hate the principle of it.”
Rangers and Celtic in European Super League?
Rangers and Celtic are two of the biggest clubs in the world and have a global fanbase.
The Gers and the Hoops would be a great addition to the European Super League and would generate a lot of money for the ‘project’.

However, it is hard to see the Founding Clubs of the European Super League invite Rangers and Celtic to join them anytime soon.
Moreover, the two Glasgow giants may not want to be part of this league that has been widely condemned and is very controversial.
Rangers and Celtic are strong community clubs, and their fans may not want them to join the European Super League.
