‘Money’ could have another path back into the ring this year.

Following his 2017 victory over UFC star Conor McGregor, which improved his professional boxing record to 50-0, Floyd Mayweather announced what was, at the time, his latest retirement from the sport.

The American has stayed in the spotlight since then, taking on a series of exhibition bouts against names like YouTubers Logan Paul and Deji Olatunji, kickboxer Tenshin Nasukawa, and MMA fighter Mikuru Asakura.

His last fight was a rematch with John Gotti III in 2024, but he is now planning a return in 2026. While an exhibition bout with Mike Tyson is already expected, talk has also been building around a possible second fight with Manny Pacquiao.

But Pacquiao is not the only familiar face looking for another shot at Mayweather…

Mayweather’s schedule already includes a bout with Tyson in March, but much of the attention has focused on a potential rematch with Pacquiao.

On top of that, a growing number of former rivals seem interested in getting one more shot at him. Zab Judah is the latest to put his name forward.

Judah told Mill City Boxing: “Listen, if we did an exhibition match right now, it would probably be the biggest exhibition match in boxing right now.

“Zab Judah-Mayweather part two, that would go stupid.”

He added: “Ain’t s—t old about me. You can blabber about, ‘I don’t know what he is doing, is he in shape?’ I am ready.”

Back in 2006, Mayweather got the better of Judah by unanimous decision when they fought for the IBF and vacant IBO welterweight titles.

Manny Pacquiao’s title fight falls through, increasing chances of Mayweather rematch

Discussions about a potential rematch between two of boxing’s biggest names cooled off while ‘PacMan’ was linked to a bout with Rolly Romero.

Negotiations for that welterweight title fight had been moving towards an early 2026 date, but ESPN’s Mike Coppinger recently reported that talks have now broken down.

That setback has refocused attention on the Mayweather rematch, though opinion remains split after their first meeting left many fans underwhelmed.

Coppinger published on X: “Talks to match up Manny Pacquiao in a title shot vs. Rolly Romero in early 2026 have collapsed, sources tell @ringmagazine.

“Pacquiao still exploring the Floyd Mayweather rematch.

“Romero, meanwhile, has a looming mandatory vs. Shakhram Giyasov.”
