Former Tottenham star Garth Crooks has tipped Dejan Kulusevski for big things under Antonio Conte following his first goal for the club over the weekend.
Writing on BBC Sport, the pundit was impressed with what he saw from the Swedish international as the winger bagged the first goal in what was to be an incredible win for Tottenham against Manchester City.
Harry Kane stole the headlines as the England captain produced his best performance of the season after a stagnant year under two different managers, yet it was Kulusevski who got the ball rolling for Tottenham against City.
The winger was a late January signing from Juventus where the 21-year-old signed on an 18-month loan deal with an option to make it permanent in the future, and so far, Kulusevski is proving his worth for the north London side.
His first ever goal for the club will be one that Tottenham fans remember for some time, and for Crooks, Kulusevski can go a long way for the north London side under Conte, especially after his performance against City.
The pundit said: “It was his first start in a Tottenham shirt – and what a start! The Swede looked extremely comfortable and took his goal calmly and with the minimum of fuss.
“What I like about this kid is he doesn’t seem in the least bit excitable and may prove to be a valuable addition to Antonio Conte’s new-look Tottenham.”
Kulusevski could be Conte’s first big Tottenham move after City display

It was perhaps unsurprising that Tottenham’s first pair of signings under the duo of Conte and Fabio Paratici, yet Kulusevski could prove to be a coup for the north London club after his display against City over the weekend.
Indeed, Kulusevski was tipped for great things in Serie A before his move to Tottenham, and after his goal against City, the winger now looks set to tear the Premier League apart under Conte, who could get the best out of the youngster in the coming months.
