Mauricio Pochettino has told the Guardian that he wants to turn Tottenham Hotspur into one of the best teams in the world.
Tottenham are currently developing a new ground, as they look to improve their infrastructure.
White Hart Lane simply does not have the capacity to allow Tottenham to generate the revenue to compete with many of their Premier League rivals.

However, Spurs are building the biggest club football stadium in London, and Pochettino believes that once his side move into their new home, they will be able to challenge any side across the world.
“We need to be patient,” Pochettino said.

“We need time to try to create a strong team, a strong club, a strong mentality. A winning mentality, finish the new stadium. At that point we will be ready to fight like now but with more tools and to be one of the best teams in the world.”
Tottenham are currently doing a good job at competing in the Premier League, even without their new stadium in place.
