Antonio Conte staying at Tottenham Hotspur has just become a lot more probable.

Spurs hammered Norwich City 5-0 at Carrow Road this evening to book their spot in the Champions League next season.

Speculation had mounted in recent weeks that Conte could quit the Lilywhites this summer and join Paris Saint-Germain instead [RMC Sport].

However, Conte staying at Tottenham Hotspur is looking relatively likely now – and especially after Fabrizio Romano’s post on Twitter today.

The Italian manager joined the North Londoners in November of last year in what Romano has described as a ‘masterpiece’ of a decision by Fabio Paratici, who successfully convinced the legendary manager to join the club.

And Romano has revealed on social media that the 52-year-old will meet with Tottenham’s hierarchy over the coming days with regards to staying at the club long term.

Antonio Conte staying at Tottenham Hotspur?

Well, based on Romano’s information, yes it certainly looks to be heading in the right direction.

Qualifying for the Champions League is a massive achievement for a Spurs side that looked in complete disarray when Conte arrived at Hotspur Way six months ago.

But despite the Paris Saint-Germain speculation, the signs are definitely good news.

Tottenham are reported to want Mauricio Pochettino back in North London if Conte does decide to swap the club for the Ligue 1 champions.

However, why would he leave?

Yes, he’ll have access to much more money in the French capital, not to mention players like Lionel Messi, Neymar and Kylian Mbappe.

But at Spurs he has a chance to put down some roots, lay some foundations that he’ll be given time to build on – well, more time than at Parc des Princes, anyway.
