Gary Neville has stated that Tottenham were ‘never’ going to slip-up in beating Arsenal to Champions League football.
As Harry Kane put Spurs 2-0 ahead against Norwich, it all but settled the nerves from Spurs that they will secure fourth spot.
Even though Arsenal were doing their job against Everton, their rivals opened the scoring through January signing, Dejan Kulusevski, before Kane added in a second.
That’s when Antonio Conte’s players started to run riot, with Heung-Min Son also working his magic, as Spurs put five in total past already-relegated Norwich City.
Nonetheless, this is what Neville had to say, whilst the goals were going in, regarding Tottenham doing the job in finishing fourth, as he told Sky Sports.
“Tottenham were never going to slip-up today,” said Neville. “It puts them in a great position.”

TOTTENHAM CAN NOW TALK LOUD IN THE TRANSFER MARKET
Usually, Spurs are the ones who are being dubbed as ‘Spursy’ or messing things up after being in a strong position.
But, it was Arsenal who showcased those unwanted traits, as they only a couple of weeks ago had one foot in the Champions League door.
But this could be huge for Antonio Conte because he can now do some serious talking in the transfer market.
Not only can Conte use himself as a lure to land the top talents, but Tottenham now have Champions League football to boot.
