Olympique Marseille are reportedly want Sead Kolasinac to leave the club this summer less than six months after joining the Ligue 1 giants in the January transfer window from Arsenal.
According to Foot Mercato, Jorge Sampaoli wants Marseille to sell with Bosnian international this summer with Kolasinac failing to impress for the French side despite spending just half a season with the club, with Kolasinac now set for a second transfer in 2022.
- Three players who could replace Fernandinho at Manchester City
- £166m superstar among best XI of under-23 free agents this summer
Kolasinac signed an 18-month contract with Marseille in January, and despite making 14 appearances for the club, Sampaoli is now intent on making sure the former Arsenal defender leaves in the summer after a string of uninspiring performances.
One of the highest-earners at Arsenal during his time at the club at a reported £100,000k-a-week, Kolasinac joining Marseille was meant to usher in a new chapter for the defender’s career. However, the transfer has so far been nothing but a disaster.
Indeed, finding a suitor for Kolasinac could be difficult this summer given how hard Arsenal found it trying to offload the German-born left-back, with the Gunners struggling to sell the 28-year-old over the course of multiple windows before finding a buyer in Marseille.
Kolasinac must leave Marseille after turbulent 21/22 campaign

Kolasinac’s career has somewhat stalled in recent seasons after becoming a divisive figure at Arsenal and then having his move to Marseille go up in flames. And this summer, the Bosnian international must leave France for good and ensure he finds himself a club where he can start anew.
It’s easy to forget that Kolsainac was once one of the most exciting fullbacks in Europe during his spell at Schalke 04, and the defender leaving Marseille this summer could be the golden ticket the defender needs to refresh his career.
