Fabrizio Romano has claimed on Twitter that Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal are “out of the race” for Juventus target Manuel Locatelli.
The well-known and well-respected journalist has reported on the social networking site this afternoon that Locatelli only wants to join Juventus.
The Italian giants are now ready to submit their final bid for the Sassuolo midfielder, according to Romano.
Blow for Arsenal
Romano is very well-informed in the transfer market, and the SkySport and The Guardian journalist’s update on Arsenal and Locatelli will be a blow for the Gunners.
We know that Arsenal have been chasing the Italy international midfielder throughout this summer.
Sassuolo News reported in July that the Gunners had made a bid for the Italy international midfielder.
There have been reports before that the Euro 2020 winner prefers Juventus to Arsenal.

The Sassuolo midfielder even dropped a strong hint on Twitter about his desire to move to the Turin giants.
And now, Romano is reporting that Locatelli only wants to join Juventus.
Locatelli is one of the best young midfielders in Europe, and his quality and dynamism would have made the Gunners better and stronger in the middle of the park.
The Sassuolo star made 32 starts and two substitute appearances in Serie A last season, scoring four goals and providing two assists in the process.
