Fabrizio Romano has said on Don Robbie YouTube channel that Arsenal are not pushing for Manuel Locatelli anymore.
What’s the story?
Well-known and well-respected journalist Romano has said that Locatelli still wants to join Juventus despite interest from Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal.
Arsenal are aware that the 23-year-old Italy international midfielder wants to go to Juventus and are now not pushing for a deal.
Romano said on Don Robbie YouTube channel: “I am also told that at the moment Arsenal are not pushing.
“They know that the player wants to go to Juventus and they are focusing on other things. So, that’s why I don’t see Locatelli joining Arsenal this summer.”

Arsenal interest
Arsenal has been strongly linked with Sassuolo midfielder Locatelli.
The Athletic reported last month that Arsenal are prepared to push the boat out for the youngster.
Sassuolo News also reported in July that the Gunners have made a bid for the Italy international midfielder.
However, Locatelli strongly hinted at his desire to join Juventus when he liked a tweet about the Bianconeri.

Sensible stance
If Locatelli wants to join Juventus, then there is no point in Arsenal pushing for him to move to the Emirates Stadium.
It is already the first week of August now, and the Gunners cannot wait forever for a deal to happen.
Locatelli is a brilliant and dynamic young midfielder who would make Arsenal better in the middle of the park, but there are plenty more quality players for the Gunners to target now.
