Some Leeds United fans have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to speculation that the club are on the verge of signing Daniel James from Manchester United.

What’s the story?

The Athletic are reporting this evening (6:49pm) that Leeds are close to signing James from Premier League rivals United for £25 million plus add-ons.

Well-known and well-respected journalist Fabrizio Romano has claimed on Twitter that the deal is as good as done.

As you can from Romano’s tweets below, he is confident that the transfer will happen.

What are Leeds United fans saying?

As you can see from the tweets below, Leeds fans are delighted at the prospect of James joining the Whites.

Well, some of them anyway.

Leeds wanted to sign the winger before he joined the Red Devils from Swansea City for £15 million, as reported by Sky Sports.

It seems that Leeds head coach Marcelo Bielsa will now finally get James.

The winger is a very good and promising young player who has pace and has already played in the Premier League with United.

United are one of the biggest clubs in the world, and James has shown that he is not fazed at the prospect of playing in front of a big crowd.
