Fabrizio Romano has claimed on Twitter that Leeds United are about to sign Daniel James from Manchester United.
The well-known and well-respected journalist has reported that talks over the transfer of James from United to Leeds are in the final stages.
Romano has added that the deal will be completed soon.
Earlier today, The Guardian and SkySport journalist reported that Leeds were in advanced talks to sign the 23-year-old Wales international winger.
The Telegraph journalist Mike McGrath has reported on Twitter that it is a £30 million deal.
The Athletic have reported that Leeds will pay United an initial transfer fee of £25 million.
Exciting update for Leeds fans
Leeds wanted to sign the winger before he joined the Red Devils from Swansea for £15 million, as reported by Sky Sports.
Now it seems that Leeds head coach Marcelo Bielsa will finally get the winger.
James has done relatively well at United, but with Cristiano Ronaldo and Jadon Sancho joining this summer, he was always going to struggle to get into the team.
Leeds are a very dynamic team who play attacking football, and James would love it at Elland Road.
The Wales international has scored six goals in 50 appearances in the Premier League so far in his career.
James made 11 starts and four substitute appearances in the Premier League last season, scoring three goals and providing one assist in the process.
