The Daily Star are reporting that United want to sign Phillips from Premier League rivals Leeds in the summer of 2022.
The Red Devils have been looking at Declan Rice of West Ham United, but the England international midfielder will cost £90 million.
So, United have turned their attention to Phillips and want to bring him from Leeds in the summer of 2022.
Phillips is reportedly valued at £60 million.

The Leeds no.23 scored one goal and gave two assists in 28 Premier League starts last season, and has played five times in the league so far this campaign.
Leeds fans will not be surprised to see that United supporters want to sign Phillips, but it is not going to be easy for the Red Devils to prise him away from the Whites.
