Manchester City central defender Aymeric Laporte has told The Guardian that his side are superior to Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool in all areas.

Laporte has said that he thinks that Liverpool would like to play football just like Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City do.

The £57 million defends (BBC Sport) told The Guardian when asked whether there’s anything City could take from Liverpool for his team: “The football we play, no one else plays in the world.

“We’re an example of how to play nice football, to be superior in all areas. I think they’d like even part of our game.

“As for us having something of them: taking chances and benefiting from opponents’ errors a little more, because often we have the opportunity and don’t take it. We let the other team off. But there’s nothing to be envious about.”

Liverpool v Manchester City Premier League title race

In our opinion, the Premier League title race between Liverpool and Manchester City this season will go down to the wire.

City have a slight advantage as they have a one-point lead, and they also have a favourable run of fixtures.

Now, Liverpool are not at their best at the moment, but they are getting results and keeping it tight at the back.

Klopp’s side are in championship-winning form.

City and Liverpool will face each other in the Premier League this month, and that will be a big game.

While we know that the Citizens and the Reds do not tend to drop too many points, we have seen City fail to win against a Crystal Palace side they were expected to win against.

City and Liverpool have a different style of playing football, and we should appreciate both of them.
