Some Manchester City fans could not believe how much Ruben Dias is earning amid the news he is in contract talks.
What’s the story?
According to The Sun, the Citizens are in talks over raising the central defender’s £90k-per-week wage.
The Portuguese international only joined the club from Benfica last summer in a £65m deal.
However, he has already proved a success, lifting numerous personal and team honours.
Dias was named City’s player of the season, won the Premier League and Carabao Cup, all in his debut campaign.
His deal comes amid new contracts for the likes of John Stones and, reportedly, Ederson.

This summer seems to be a bit of a rebuild for the club.
While they have already signed Jack Grealish and want to acquire Harry Kane, there is a desire to ship off many players.
The likes of Bernardo Silva, Raheem Sterling and Gabriel Jesus have been linked with exits. Meanwhile, Sergio Aguero has already left on a free transfer to Barcelona.
As a result of so many experienced players leaving, Dias should become the centre of the rebuild.
