Vaulks, in whom Rangers were first credited with interest two years ago, has again been linked with a move to Ibrox.

Any hopes Rangers may have had of bringing Will Vaulks to Ibrox in January appear to have been dashed.
Rangers were first linked with a move for Vaulks two years ago, courtesy of the Daily Mail, and the newspaper again credited Graeme Murty’s side with interest with the midfielder this week.
The Daily Mail claims Cardiff City are also keen on Vaulks, for whom they are said to be considering a January move.
According to Vaulks’ Rotherham manager, however, it would take more than four times the £500,000 fee mentioned to prise the 24-year-old away from the New York Stadium.

“There’s no way I would sell Will in this window for £500,000,” said the Rotherham United boss, as quoted by the Sheffield Star. “In fact, I wouldn’t sell him for £2 million. He would have to man up and wait until the summer.
“I can categorically say that him leaving in January is not happening.”
The news that Ryan Jack could miss the rest of the season is likely to increase Rangers’ desire to sign another midfielder this month.

That said, a deal to bring Hamilton’s Greg Docherty to Ibrox is set to be completed on Wednesday, according to the Daily Record.
Vaulks, who can also be used as a right-back, spent three years in Scotland on the books of Falkirk.
