Former Rangers keeper Neil Alexander has reportedly left Dundee United amid rumours of a bust-up with new manager Tam Courts, however, the Tannadice boss insists everything is “still very amicable.”

Alexander was nowhere to be seen as the Arabs thrashed Elgin City last in the Premier Sports Cup and the former Rangers star was conspicuous by his absence.
Courts confirmed Alexander is still an employee of the club but hinted there could be chances in the coming day as Alexander’s absence raised eyebrows around Tannadice.
“There’s nothing definitive,” Courts told the Scottish Sun.
“Since I came in I wanted to take time to look at structure and the personnel. There will be something in the coming days on that I’m sure.
“He’s still an employee of the club. There’s been no bust-up. I’ve known Neil since I was at 17 when we were teammates at Livi.
“I have enormous respect for him as a pro. There’s been no fallout as such and it’s all still very amicable.”
The former Rangers star also played for Stenhousemuir, Livingston, Cardiff City, Ipswich and Hearts, playing in the 2008 UEFA Cup final for the Gers.
Alexander has been at Tannadice for three years since hanging his gloves up and was set to welcome his old side to Dundee next month in the Scottish Premiership.
