According to a report by Spanish outlet Defensa Central, Erling Haaland is not ruling out a move to Real Madrid, after the newfound alleged financial breaches levelled at Man City by the Premier League in their latest charges.

The same was rumoured to be the case with Bernardo Silva, as if City are found guilty after the verdict comes to the fore, they could well be relegated.

A player of the standing in the game such as Man City striker Erling Haaland, who has a £175 million (The Athletic) release clause in his contract which can be triggered in 2024 would understandably be tempted by a switch to Real Madrid, after the alleged financial breaches from the Premier League.

Haaland eyeing Man City exit for Real Madrid move after alleged Premier League charges

Now, a fresh report details the 22-year-old’s reaction to the serious allegations aimed at his club.

According to a report by Defensa Central, as relayed by Foot Mercato, Erling Haaland, who still has Real Madrid on his mind and vice versa may ask his lawyers and agents to ensure if there is a way that his release clause can get activated in 2023 after the charges of alleged financial breaches levelled at Man City by the Premier League in their charges.

Furthermore, the ‘incredible’ goalscorer, described as a ‘monster’ by Wilfried Gnonto also feels unfulfilled about how he has been used at the club and feels Carlo Ancelotti’s side would suit him much more, especially considering he could come in to succeed Karim Benzema.

Can an exit happen in 2023?

Well, the only possibility of an exit involving Erling Haaland from Man City is if Man City are found guilty of the financial breaches by the Premier League in their staggering charges, giving Real Madrid a clear run at signing him this summer.

As for the £51 million (Sky Sports) man’s game, there are a number of issues within Pep Guardiola’s side in terms of flawed profiles in the squad that may not always suit him but largely, he has started like a house on fire for the Sky Blues.
