The Magpies beat Burnley last weekend, which suggests the work they are putting in during training is starting to pay off on the pitch now.

There have been question marks raised over Newcastle’s fitness all season, with Callum Wilson admitting he felt they were underprepared for their first game of the campaign.
Even despite their improvements though, Newcastle’s safety is still far from certain.
Howe’s side will need to keep their momentum, which is gradually building, if they are to pull away from trouble.
