Kevin Campbell has said on Highbury Squad that he could not believe that Arsenal midfielder Granit Xhaka gave an assist against Leeds United at Elland Road.
Arsenal got the better of Leeds 4-1 away from home at Elland Road in the Premier League at the weekend.
Xhaka started for the Gunners and was an imposing figure in the middle of the park.
The Switzerland international midfielder provided the assist for Gabriel Martinelli’s second goal in the 28th minute.
Xhaka, though, was lucky not to be shown a red card for his challenge on Leeds winger Raphinha.
Verdict on Arsenal midfielder Granit Xhaka
Former Arsenal striker and Sky Sports pundit Campbell has said that he was shocked to see Xhaka get an asset.
Campbell said on Highbury Squad: “In the last few games, he has been fine. He has just been fine. He even played an assist, which made me fall off my sofa.”

Important player for Arsenal
Arsenal midfielder Xhaka is not known for creating chances or giving assists.
The 29-year-old does not score too many goals either.
The Arsenal no. 34 has scored only nine goals in 169 Premier League appearances so far in his career.
Xhaka has created just 15 big chances in those games.
The midfielder gave two assists in the Premier League last season and two in the league in 2019-20.
However, the job of Xhaka is to control the midfield and protect the back-line.
He does that pretty well.
Most of the times.
