Liverpool have reportedly turned their attention away from Jude Bellingham ahead of the summer transfer window.

According to The Times, the Reds have will no longer pursue a move for the Borussia Dortmund and England star.

This is apparently due to the cost of the deal, which is expected to surpass £120million.

Jurgen Klopp reportedly feels numbers are more important than one big-money marquee signing.

Goal.com have named a number of players Liverpool are reportedly eyeing ahead of the next transfer window.

Mason Mount, Nicolo Barella, Ryan Gravenberch, Teun Koopmeiners and Luka Susic are apparently in the frame.

The first four are very well-known names, while the latter is not as high-profile at the moment.

However, Susic is a talented prospect who looks like he has a bright future in the game.

At 20 years old, he is already a senior Croatia international, with four caps to his name.

Susic plays for Red Bull Salzburg and already has 96 senior appearances under his belt.

In those 96 outings, he has registered an impressive 13 goals and 10 assists.

Comparisons with Modric, Milinkovic-Savic and Ruiz

Football Talent Scout waxed lyrical about Susic back in 2020.

Jacek Kulig likened him to a ‘hybrid of Fabian Ruiz and Sergej Milinkovic-Savic’ and gave him 9/10 for potential.

Sucic has also been described as Luka Modric 2.0, quite a badge of honour and testament to his talent.

As for his price tag, Salzburger Nachrichten recently claimed he’d set Liverpool back a mere £17million.

Susic is certainly one for the future and a player who could develop into a star.

And at just £17million, Liverpool could surely afford to sign him alongside a host of other midfielders.

Admittedly, Susic is still relatively unproven at the highest level.

He might not be the best option to throw straight into the starting XI to begin with.

However, if Liverpool sign other more established players, Susic could certainly develop into a top player.
