Luis Diaz is lighting up the Premier League.
The Colombian only signed for Liverpool in January, but he’s taken to life in England like a duck to water.
He’s already opened his Premier League scoring account, and every time he gets on the ball he looks absolutely electric.
The winger is fast, tricky and he has one hell of a shot on him.
Liverpool have an absolute gem on their hands here, but one bi-product of Diaz’s arrival could be a slight statistical improvement from Trent Alexander-Arnold.
Indeed, while Diaz’s eye for goal is what was most impressive at Porto, since he’s joined Liverpool another attribute of his has jumped out – his ability to draw a foul.
The winger has only been at Liverpool for just over a month and he’s already drawing more fouls per game than any other Reds player.

These aren’t fouls that are being won in the halfway line either, Diaz is getting impeded in very dangerous areas.
Look at his run against West Ham over the weekend as an example. Diaz picked the ball up in his own half and after slaloming through the Hammers’ midfield, he was brought down on the edge of the area.
On this occasion, Alexander-Arnold hit his shot just wide, but on another day, the right-back would be finding the top corner with pinpoint accuracy.
Diaz has won fouls in dangerous areas on so many occasions this season, and when you have someone who is as deadly from dead balls as Alexander-Arnold in your team, then these opportunities are golden.
Alexander-Arnold is already a massive statistical anomaly, but if Diaz can continue to hand him opportunities to shoot or cross from these free-kicks then the ‘sublime’ full-back could begin to look even better.
