Luciano Spalletti is a manager in demand, with Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea linked with the Napoli head coach.

Both Tottenham and Chelsea are on the hunt for a permanent manager at the moment.

While Spurs and Antonio Conte parted ways recently, Chelsea got rid of Graham Potter after a terrible few months.

Both Tottenham and Chelsea plan to hire a new permanent manager at the end of the season.

And the London and Premier League rivals have been linked with Spalletti.

Back in February 2023, Italian newspaper Il Mattino claimed that Tottenham are among the clubs who are considering former AS Roma boss Spalletti.

Italian journalist Rudy Galetti has reported on Twitter that Chelsea are keeping tabs on the 64-year-old tactician.

Spalletti is doing extremely well at Napoli at the moment.

The Naples outfit are virtually certain to win the Serie A title this season.

Napoli are as many as 14 points clear of second-placed Lazio at the top of the Serie A table.

And they have played a fewer game.

However, despite his success, the Italian boss could be tempted to move to the Premier League as early as next season, according to Italian journalist Davide Chinellato on The Tottenham Way Podcast.

Chinellato said, as transcribed by TBR: “I’ve been told that he would love a Premier League job in the near future, maybe even next season if the right job comes up. With Napoli’s president it is very complicated to deal.

“Spalletti has done an incredible job this season, so he will be legendary and it will be a huge celebration.

“He coached Roma during the Totti years, he’s never had great results, he’s always finished second, but he’s made something special with Napoli. He would love a job in the Premier League in the near future and even next season if it’s the right opportunity.

“He would love a job. His English, I’m told, isn’t quite there, but it wasn’t there with Conte. I guess he would love the opportunity.”
