It has been reported that Chelsea are keen on bringing in Tottenham Hotspur manage Luciano Spaletti ahead of next season.

At the end of February, a claim was made that Spurs were interested in appointing the Napoli boss in order to replace Antonio Conte.

However, Chelsea may gatecrash the attempts from Tottenham Hotspur to ensure Luciano Spaletti becomes their next manager.

Chelsea now interested in appointing Tottenham Hotspur manager target Luciano Spaletti

The Italian tactician has done a phenomenal job at Napoli, as his side are almost guaranteed to win the Serie A, whilst perhaps being the most attractive team to watch in the entirety of Europe.

While Spaletti’s men suffered somewhat of a surprise exit from the Champions League quarter-final at the hands of Napoli, this does not affect Philippe Mexes’ claim that he is ‘one of the best coaches in the world at the moment’, as quoted by Football Italia.

Despite Tottenham fans perhaps aching for a manager that could implement the aesthetically-pleasing style of play that Luciano Spaletti can, journalist Rudy Galetti has informed them about the threat posed by Chelsea.

“For the Blues, let’s keep an eye also on Spalletti”, he updated on Twitter.

HITC View: Tottenham can make better appointments than the Italian

Of course, what Spaletti has done at Napoli is remarkable and has turned raw prospects into superstars, which would make him the perfect fit for the Lilywhites.

However, if Chelsea do end up appointing Luciano Spaletti as their next manager, Tottenham should not be overly worried.

Why? Well, simply because the likes of Luis Enrique and Julian Nagelsmann are available on the market.

Enrique has proven his credentials in and amongst an atmosphere where winning is mandatory as well as building a budding project with Spain.

And speaking of projects, what Nagelsmann did at Hoffenheim and RB Leipzig needs no introduction, which should allow the London-based side to let out a sigh of relief.
