Aaron Ramsdale has been named Arsenal’s Player of the Month for October, with the goalkeeper picking up the award this weekend at the Emirates Stadium.
The shot-stopper, who arrived in the summer for £24m according to Sky Sports News, has been one of Arsenal’s best-performing players this season since joining from Sheffield United. With Ramsdale replacing Bernd Leno as the club’s number one.
After landing in north London to much scepticism, Ramsdale has proved every doubter and critic wrong with a string of brilliant performances for Arsenal. With the 23-year-old making his England debut as a result.
Indeed, Arsenal’s form since September has been exceptional. The Gunners have lost just once, and Mikel Arteta’s side sit joint-fourth in the Premier League table with West Ham United.
And Ramsdale’s performances have been key, and the youngster has been rewarded for his form by picking up the October Player of the Month award. With David Seaman handing the keeper the accolade.
The Stoke-born shot-stopper keeps going from strength to strength, with some of Ramsdale’s saves saving Arsenal valuable points in the Premier League.
