Gary Lineker has taken to Twitter to react after watching footage of Raheem Sterling for England during the 2-0 win over Germany.
What’s the story?
Well, the BBC Match of the Day host was commenting on footage of Sterling after he was involved in a scary moment.
Shortly after handing England the lead, the £49 million forward nearly cost the Three Lions when robbed by Toni Kroos.
After Kroos’ tackle, Kai Havertz then played Thomas Müller through on goal, which had Sterling stood in fear with his hands on his head.
Thankfully, Müller amazingly put his effort wide, which saw Sterling collapse in a heap of relief out on the Wembley turf.
What did Gary Lineker say?

After seeing the footage, Lineker posted an eight word tweet.
You can see his message below.
It would’ve been so cruel to see England’s player of the tournament so far suffer such a heartbreaking moment.
Luckily for Sterling, the football Gods were on his side as Müller missed, before Harry Kane doubled England’s lead.
Speaking of Kane, Manchester City supposedly want to use Sterling as a bargaining chip in their pursuit of the Tottenham striker.
According to the Mirror, this left the ex-Liverpool man angry.

Elsewhere, Mikel Arteta seems keen to sign him after Eurosport claimed Arsenal lodged an enquiry about the 26-year-old.
In our view, Manchester City would be fools to sell Sterling.
Unfortunately for Arsenal, with each mesmeric EURO 2020 display, his value will only rise higher and higher.
