NBA analyst Nick Wright drew attention after criticising LaMelo Ball on the First Things First show, following a controversial moment involving Bam Adebayo.
The incident saw the 24-year-old allegedly pull Adebayo’s leg, leading to a fall that forced the Miami Heat star out of the play-in game against Charlotte, which the Hornets narrowly won.
Wright did not hold back when discussing the situation. He said: “I’m not sorry, and I don’t care if this gets clipped. That young man [LaMelo] is a clown, and has been a clown forever and will never not be a clown.”
Now, LaMelo’s elder brother has replied to the analyst.
Lonzo Ball and Nick Wright exchange words on social media
Lonzo Ball quickly responded on X, defending his brother with a direct message. He wrote: “Folks saying clown with a perm FOH” and added: “Nick Wright a bum!”
Wright replied with a pointed response, saying: “These are my natural curls, thank you very much.”
He continued: “Also, I respect you having your brother’s back… despite the fact that deep down you’ve gotta know everything I said was true.

“He’s immensely talented, hilariously immature, reckless on and off the court & his own worst enemy.”
How did LaMelo Ball address he Bam Adebayo incident?
LaMelo Ball weighed in on the situation after the game, offering an explanation during his press conference.
“I apologize for that one. I got hit in the head, didn’t really know where I was, but I’m going to check on him and see if he is okay,” he said.
Without Bam on court, Charlotte secured a 127-126 win and will now face Orlando in a bid to qualify for the playoffs.
