The Rangers goalkeeper’s Ibrox exit is said to have been sanctioned by Steven Gerrard.

A deal to take Rangers’ Aidan McAdams to Annan Athletic on loan has now been agreed, according to the Scottish Sun.
The newspaper reported last month that the League Two side were hopeful of securing the Rangers goalkeeper’s services for the rest of the season.
And the Annan manager, Peter Murphy, is said to have landed his man at last, with his Ibrox counterpart, Steven Gerrard, keen for McAdams to gain more experience.
The 19-year-old has only ever played youth and reserve team football for Celtic and Rangers, to whom he moved in the summer of 2017.
And speaking to the Evening Times in November, he expressed a desire to change that in the near future.
“I need to get first team games before I can do much in the game,” explained the teenager. “And I have spoken to [the Rangers academy head] Craig Mulholland and Billy Kirkwood, who is now the loan manager for the development squad.
“And I have spoken to my two goalie coaches, Colin [Stewart] and Graeme Smith and we think the next thing for me is to go out and get that experience of playing against men week in week out. I am looking forward to that.”

McAdams’ Rangers teammate Kyle Bradley spent the first half of the season on loan to Annan, for whom he made 14 appearances.
McAdams has 18 months left on his contract at Rangers, where his rivals include Allan McGregor, Wes Foderingham and Robby McCrorie.
