Could Jose Mourinho deny Liverpool another shot at Nabil Fekir?

Liverpool could face a familiar foe if they renew interest in Nabil Fekir this summer.
The Reds’ £53m move for Fekir broke down last June, The Mail reported, and fans have continued to pay attention to his performances in 2019.
Now it could be Jose Mourinho who ends up controlling Fekir’s destiny.
Mourinho is claimed to be interested in the Lyon job, The Mail report, and the French side’s current boss Bruno Genesio has even thrown down the red carpet in his direction.
Genesio is quoted by Goal: “Everywhere he’s been he’s won a trophy. He’s won Champions Leagues. Obviously, he’s a great coach, so, if he succeeds me it would be an honour.”

Mourinho taking on the Lyon job would be fascinating, and he would be determined to keep hold of the club’s best players.
This certainly includes Fekir, who boasts 12 goals and seven assists this season.
When Liverpool missed out on Fekir last summer there was disappointment, but there was still hope they would get their man eventually.
If Mourinho takes over, there is little chance of the Reds succeeding in bringing the France international to Anfield.
