Lyon produced a superb fightback to beat Paris Saint-Germain 2-1 on Sunday night, meaning PSG’s unbeaten run has come to an end.

PSG went into the game having gone unbeaten in the first 20 league games this season, dropping just four points in that run.

Another win was on the cards early on as Angel Di Maria scored inside the first 10 minutes, but Lyon hit back with a Moussa Dembele header from a Leo Dubois cross.

Shortly after half time, Lyon grabbed the winning goal, as Nabil Fekir scored from the penalty spot to clinch a 2-1 victory, meaning PSG won’t achieve an Invincible season.

Fekir again showed his quality, and also his nerve having stepped up to score a pressure penalty, notching his 12th goal of the season.

The 25-year-old has also grabbed five assists this season, and hasn’t let his failed move to Liverpool dent his confidence or effort levels for Lyon.

As noted by The Mirror, a £53million move to Liverpool fell through over medical issues, with major concerns about his knees. Fekir even conducted his LFC TV interview ahead of sealing his move, but no deal was resurrected.

Now, Liverpool fans are questioning just why the Reds didn’t sign Fekir in January, praising him as a ‘baller’ and great player, urging Michael Edwards and Jurgen Klopp to resurrect a deal for Fekir at the end of the season after watching him star for Lyon last night.
