Liverpool are reportedly offering Ryan Gravenberch a Bayern Munich escape route and former Premier League ace Ruud Gullit believes the Bundesliga benchwarmer is still a ‘wonderful player’, speaking to Sport Buzzer.
There were considerable question marks hanging over Marcel Sabitzer when he joined Manchester United on the final day of the January transfer window.
Was a man who found starts so hard to come by at the Allianz Arena capable of making the required impact at a side with such lofty ambitions? Given how quietly imperious Sabitzer has been under Erik ten Hag so far, it’s fair to say those questions have been answered.

It should not be forgotten that, at Bayern, Sabitzer had one of the world’s finest central midfielders ahead of him in Julian Nagelsmann’s pecking order; Germany international Joshua Kimmich.
Ryan Gravenberch knows only too well the size of the task facing any player trying to oust King Kimmich from his Bavarian throne. The former Ajax starlet has started just three games in all competitions – once in the Bundesliga – since that £16 million summer move.
Dutch legend Gullit, however, is nowhere near ready to give up on a man who doesn’t even turn 21 until May.
Could Liverpool sig Bayern Munich’s Ryan Gravenberch?
“I hope that he didn’t go to Bavaria too early. He’s basically a wonderful player, but he still has a lot to learn. I hope he gets a little more playing time,” says the former Chelsea ace.
“(Kimmich) currently one of the best players in the world in his position. I am a huge fan of Kimmich.”
Liverpool, Sport1 say, have identified Gravenberch as a possible addition to their creaking midfield. Perhaps Bayern Munich will be open to another loan deal, one that would see Gravenberch build up his confidence and his fitness elsewhere before returning a more mature and well-rounded player.
Emulate Sabitzer’s impact in the North West and a spell in Liverpool red may be a turning point in Gravenberch’s still-young career.
